New Challenges

So, it has been clear that I have not been able to post like I wanted to. But let me fill you all in on the some of the reasoning why.

In the month of September, I started a new job with a new a company... GAME CHANGER in life!! My work life balance has started to level out and be proper. With this company I am able to go home at the end of the day, and actually just be at home! Be a mom, a wife, a normal life... well who am I kidding I am FAR from normal.

Also in September, dance started up, and I was once again teaching (which I love!!), but this year I had 5 classes I teach, and one of which is going to competition... so slightly stressed myself over that. School also started, so getting back into the routine of everything all happening THE SAME DAMN DAY!! It was a lot.

Our family also was starting to prep for our daughter being assessed. Now for those of you know our family, and our daughter you are probably sitting there thinking "what the hell is she being assessed for?!?!" and you are certainly right to think that, as she normally doesn't show too many signs of much. But I can tell you there that we face struggles daily with certain things. The breakdowns are a big one in our house... as in when they happen, we are there for a while.

So come November she had an appointment (with an amazing clinic/doctor) and got assessed and has been diagnosed as Autistic. Now, is she far on the spectrum, no, but she is on there. Is it a relief to have answers and get the tools and understand of how to help with things when they happen... HELL YES!!

So, with the diagnosis comes a whole new learning curve. Learning how to navigate through the breakdowns without getting upset, making her more upset and so on.

What we did learn is that dance has been a big help. She is a kid who NEEDS to routine and the structure and dance offers her just that.

She also needs to be kept very busy. So, she decided it was time to start her own little business. Now don't get me wrong, I love to sit with her and watch her create, but sometimes it can be a bit much. She won't sit and do it herself, she wants me to sit with her. Which works as I get to make my candles while she sits and creates all her items (you can find all these on my page here!), but sometimes I just want to do my own thing.

During all the new, we still have the regular - dance, and along with that... dance competitions and performances! 5 competitions this year was a lot, but we got through it! We made many memories and will continue to make more with years to come.

I could go on and on about why I had been offline for sadly far too long... but I will just sum it up really quick - life got fucking busy!! I hope with these new changes, and that things are slowly settling, and I have an idea of how my days are going to go, that I can get back to writing more. This is what I love to do. Just share total nonsense with everyone!
